Nutjob Nancy's Verbal Acrobatics
Anti-bipartisanism
Not to be rude, but Nancy Pelosi has finally lost it. Let’s face it, the Speaker of the house
has always been a little bit batty, but her comments this weekend demonstrate that the lady has taken a sharp left turn off the deep end.
Watch the video here.
What Nancy is trying to sell us is; the Democrats crafted the Healthcare Reform Bill, without any Republican input, which had the Public Option as one of its fundamental planks, but the Speaker left the Public Option out of the bill because the Republicans did not support it (well, really she left it out because a majority her own caucus did not support, but we are following Nancy’s logic here), then it is her contention, that the Republicans influenced the bill because one of the things that they did not want in there is not in there; hence, the Republicans were actually part of the process and what we have now is a bipartisan bill. read more »
Healthcare Reform: a Century of War Against the Will of the People.
In the fall of 1912 Teddy Roosevelt, the Progressive Party candidate for President, ran on a platform that included government run, “national health insurance”.
“The supreme duty of the Nation is the conservation of human resources through an enlightened measure of social and industrial justice,” the platform said. “We pledge ourselves to work unceasingly in State and Nation for … the protection of home life against the hazards of sickness, irregular employment and old age through the adoption of a system of social insurance adapted to American use.”
He was defeated.
Fast forward nearly 100 years and the “leaders” in Washington continue with their futile attempts to force socialized medicine down the throat of an unwilling American public. You would think that a century filled with failed attempt after failed attempt would signal the Statists to rethink their position, but much like wayward fly banging his head against a clear windowpane, their fruitless efforts persist.
Allahpundit: Wrong on Romney.
Like most political decisions, Romney's endorsement of McCain is all about the money.

Allahpundit has Romney's endorsement of Senator McCain's re-election campaign all wrong. It is not about the Tea Party and it is not about freeing up a move to the center; it's all about the money.
In John McCain's 23 years serving Arizona in the US Senate he has befriended many very wealthy doners. Mitt Romney's wallet was $35 million lighter after his failed 2008 bid for the presidency. Gov. Romney has assessed the Republican candidates lining up for 2012 and figures he will have no problem outlasting a field of candidates he considers to be thin and weak.
Once the pretenders have been weeded out, Mitt will want Sen. McCain to (as another Arizonian once put it), "show me the money".
Like most political decisions, Romney's endorsement of McCain is all about the money.
