Like every thing else about this Obama Presidency and administration, nothing is straight forward. It’s always a conjuration of smoke and mirrors. It’s just like Rush Limbaugh used to say about the Clinton administration, “These people get out of bed in the morning saying to themselves, ‘HOW CAN WE FOOL THEM TODAY?’ “

Fact is, it’s getting a lot harder to do. The leftists can no longer depend on calling up the same old reliable chimera time after time to bend issues and opinion to their will. Some of their favorite issues just aren’t playing like they used to and in a strange case of role reversal they just don’t seem to grasp what’s happened to them.

'Seasonally Adjusted' Unemployment Variance.

The unemployment figures are a good example. After shouting to the heavens that if we passed his 787 BILLION DOLLAR stimulus, unemployment rates would not go above 8%. Well, billions and billions of absolutely wasted dollars later we have 10.1% unemployment, which has magically gone down to 9.7% despite the government’s own ‘adjusted’ figures for last year, showing an increase of unemployment from about 7.5 million jobs lost during this recession to EIGHT POINT FOUR MILLION. Jobs lost in December were revised from 85,000 to ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND.  read more »

One of the many sites on which this column is posted is/was Political Cortex. In the beginning we were on half a dozen or so sites and Political Cortex was one of them. It really sort of surprised me given the decidedly left-leaning bent of most of the articles and comments on their site. Wonderful I thought. A leftie site that is fair enough to accept other points of view and said as much to Dee, who at that time was my helper, as I’m absolutely thick when it comes to IT stuff. The IT staff at work see me coming and they run shrieking from the building.

Since then, Dee’s roll has expanded to encompass everything that makes this site successful. It’s a lot of hard work and she does it very well and with unfailing good cheer and humor. I used to bookmark the sites we are on until they filled the page and obscured the screen. I’m not sure even now exactly how many we are on because we’re being picked up by news outlets and blog sites around the globe.

I have YOU, the reader and lovers of freedom everywhere, to thank for that and am grateful and humbled by it every day. The United States has always represented a beacon of freedom for all peoples and I believe there is a yearning for freedom that exists in the heart of every human being no matter how severely repressed or oppressed they may be.

Today I got a note from Dee that our column for Wednesday 2/3/10 had disappeared from Political Cortex along with every single archived article of ours on the site going back to September 25, 2009. IT’S MAGIC! Congressional leftists are finding all sorts of mainstream centrist and even (gasp) right of center issues to take up… as they scatter in all directions trying to distance themselves from a President and a Democratic party leadership who they see as leading them down a rocky road to destruction.

This magic transformation has come about, as predicted by yours truly, by the turn of the new year and the sudden recognition by some REALLY arrogant Democratic Congress critters who have had a really rude awakening, something else I predicted was on the way. Before anyone gets the idea that I’m making claims towards prescience, I’m not and it wasn’t really all that hard. Following the mood of the American people through news research you can get a pretty good idea of how things may go. Once the Virginia and New Jersey races were improbably won by Republicans in predominantly Democratically dominated areas the change in the temper of the electorate started to make itself known loud and clear. Then came Massachusetts and the Democrats were rocked to their core.

Tea Partiers Make Themselves Heard.

The Democrat leadership began to lose their iron grip on the membership, with Senators and Representatives being incessantly hammered by their constituents and any number of the millions of patriots who have been making themselves heard in no uncertain terms. The Obama, Reid and Pelosi brand of hope and change is not what we want and as AMERICANS we really resent having something crammed down our throats or sneaked behind our backs. We pushed back. We stopped the Obama juggernaut in its tracks, super majority not withstanding. We stopped the illegal and unconstitutional theft of our health care, though that battle isn’t over yet. I feel like I’m living in an alternate universe. The Obamaverse is a little like a comic book existence where everything is twisted and backwards. Like Superman’s BIZARRO world. In Obama’s land of bleak outlook, a little less bleak landscape is a HUGE success. Twisted, turned and distorted to make it appear a little less colorless, it is fed to the hounds of bleak expression to spread across the land to all who will listen, “see what great things I/ME I/ME am doing for you”.

In Obama’s perverted world, TAXING the most productive segment of our society, the area from which MOST job growth is born in this country, is somehow a noble act for which we should be grateful. Obama plans to TAX the middle class by ONE TRILLION PLUS DOLLARS in the next decade, starting with allowing the BUSH tax cuts to expire next year. Unemployment in the private sector continues to increase, while at the same time the government adds more and more TAXPAYER FUNDED EMPLOYEES to its payrolls. Government produces nothing. Government takes from the private sector under the threat of the force of law… legal or not.

This government is unaccountable and out of control. We the denizens, the PEOPLE of Obama’s BIZARRO world, have a President who is literally running riot without the consent of the majority of the governed. We have a Congress which is a runaway freight train to nowhere, is not responsive to its controls (the Constitution) and is working directly in opposition to the people WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE MAJORITY OF THE GOVERNED.  read more »

I’m running out of superlatives again. It’s getting to be a barometer of NATIONAL LUNACY, as played out by the White House and the Congressional Clown College. While Obama is taxing the exact segment of the population where job growth is created, just about guaranteeing negative job growth in the private sector, the House Madam, Nancy Pelosi, is spending millions of taxpayer dollars in travel, food and booze for herself, her family and political cronies, while the country is scrambling to find work and scrabbling to survive. The corruption in this government is astounding and DISGUSTING.

Barack Obama announced the budget for 2010 today and it’s still burning holes through the floor…THREE POINT EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS!! This dude is DELUSIONAL. Or as is beginning to become more likely and more apparent, this man is purposely and purposefully driving this country to ruin so that he and his extremist party may profit from the resulting confusion and ruin. The deficit for 2009 was fully 1.413 TRILLION dollars, the highest since World War Two. But hold on to your wallets and purses ladies and gents, I’m not finished yet. The federal budget deficit for this year, with the highly accomplished organizer at the helm, is ONE POINT FIVE FIVE SIX TRILLION FRESHLY MINTED DOLLARS. But all is not lost, take heart because our intrepid budget-cutting leader has identified TWENTY BILLION dollars he will fearlessly slash.

Ahmadinejad stuck his unkempt visage in front of the cameras to put a time and date to deliver a ‘telling blow’ to the “world powers” on February eleventh. Is this more of the Iranian President’s usual bloviating rhetoric, or could there be something more sinister here? Keep in mind that Ahmadinejad says nothing his puppet masters have not told him to say.

Newt Gingrich has said that “Iran is the most dangerous regime in the world AND THE SINGLE MOST URGENT THREAT to American national security”. The recent tests of missiles launched from merchant ships in the Caspian Sea, not targeted but detonated high in the air, have raised the urgency of a threat long speculated on by scientists, military and national security experts.

An NEP, or nuclear electromagnetic pulse, attack over a portion of this country would fry any electrical or electronic equipment not hardened against an EMP or electromagnetic pulse, throwing the affected area instantly back into a horse and buggy existence. With this threat in mind, Obama’s reducing funds to our missile defense systems and development programs may take on the proportions of intentional national suicide. Sound extreme? It wasn’t all that long ago that the world, including the US, ignoring the rising tide of aggression represented by the axis powers during the 1930’s led to World War Two and the deaths of millions of people world-wide.  read more »

While Obama sacrifices and ‘finds’ TWENTY BILLION DOLLARS in spending cuts…. I’d say “WHAT?!!!” – but my editor yells at me when I get redundant. The hutzpah of this bunch, from the President right on down, is BREATHTAKING. With Democrats under challenge in states all over the union you would think that Congressional Democrats would understand that a highly motivated and IRATE electorate is watching their every move with the intensity of a laboratory technician studying a virulent microorganism. Good simile though. With Illinois, like Massachusetts, no longer a guaranteed lead-pipe cinch Democrat playground.

States all over the nation are experiencing the same transformation. California’s Senator Barbara Boxer is being challenged by former Congressman Tom Campbell (R). Tom has a comfortable lead on the GOP pack but get this… he is running only FOUR POINTS behind Babs in this West Coast liberal wonderland.  For him to be this close early in the race does not bode well for Boxer. In the severely economically depressed Central Valley all GOP candidates are running ahead of her.

With the extreme left wing California Assembly about to fall upon Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s veto sword over the absolutely preposterous TWO HUNDRED BILLION DOLLAR California State Single Payer Health Care Bill now sitting in the Assembly, California with an almost 40 billion dollar budget shortfall  and the state about to declare itself out of money again, voters are likely to come out of their self-induced stupor long enough to remember that it is Democrats that are doing all this to them and that probably won’t do Boxer much good either.  read more »

Here we go. The primary election is February 2, 2010. The unfortunate Roland Burris’s  US Senate seat is up for grabs… appointed by the disgraced former Governor Rod Blagojevich. Burris was unable to garner support for a re-election bid and so announced his retirement.

Illinois Conservative patriot groups are backing solid Conservative Don Lowery (R), a retired circuit court judge, former County State’s Attorney and a VietNam veteran (R), and Andrew Andrzejewski, a Conservative businessman and political outsider running against the entrenched Illinois corrupt political machine. Both of these candidates are running uphill battles against well-funded political machines. Whatever you can do to to help them between now and the 2nd of February please do. President Obama was invited to speak in front of the Republican Party Conference and went on an 82 minute diatribe, interspersed with some sharp questioning and pointed statements from Republican legislators.
