Obama's Report Card
Do I need to say he failed?
As the President of the United States of America one has many duties: Commander and Chief of the military, leader of the United States, and leader of the free world. The one thing that all of the duties of the President has in common is that he must be a leader. A leader is defined as a person who has commanding authority or influence. As the election quickly approaches I have been thinking, is Obama a leader.
In order to answer this question we must first come up with a list of attributes that are common to most leaders. A few common attributes are: integrity, dedication, magnanimity (giving credit where credit is due), openness (listening to others ideas), and the ability to bring people together. Now, in order to determine how good of a leader Obama is we must figure out how he has done in these ares.
Integrity - Grade: F - Obama has to receive low marks for integrity. The only two examples that really need to be mentioned here are his actions regarding the incident in Benghazi and Hurricane Sandy. In both cases, when tough questions have been raised, our President refuses to answer them. In the case of Benghazi, due to recent developments, it looks like a down right lie and cover up. The President has to be able to answer tough questions even when it means taking a hit in your reelection campaign. George W. Bush, for all the crap he got from the main street media, never backed down or avoided answering tough questions no matter how much he got hammered for it.
Dedication - Grade: D - Obama has been one of the least dedicated Presidents we have had in history. After the Benghazi incident, our President decided he should go to Las Vegas to campaign rather than answer tough questions. He has also gone golfing more than any President I can think of. From the time this President was elected he has cared more about getting reelected than doing his job. Benjamin Netanyahu came to visit the President, and Obama thought it would be a better idea to go on the View.
Magnanimity - Grade: F - The easiest way to grade this one is just listen to when Obama speaks at campaign events. He constantly uses the words me and I. I hate to tell you mister President, but you cannot do anything without the Congress, Senate, and most importantly the American people. When Mitt Romney speaks he consistently uses the words we and us. That tells me that Romney understands that he is just a representative of the people, and has to work with us instead of against us. Obama has always wanted to take credit for everything (i.e. Bin Laden: pretty sure he didn't pull the trigger), and deflect blame for anything that has gone wrong (i.e. Benghazi: positive he knew what was going on).
Openness - Grade: F - I am not sure that I have ever seen a President who is less willing to work with people on the other side of the aisle. The best example to this is Obamacare. Most of the nation did not want Obamacare put in place, but this President and his cronies forced it down our throats. A good leader has to be willing to work with people who think differently.
Ability to bring people together - Grade: F - One of the toughest jobs any President has is to try and unite the American people. There are so many different cultures and political beliefs in this country that it is a daunting task, and is next to impossible. However, most other Presidents have at least attempted to bring the nation together. This President is the most derisive since Jimmy Carter. That is kind of funny since they are probably going to go down in history as our two worst Presidents. This President has constantly ignored conservatives and has forced his leftist ideologies down our throat.
In conclusion, as you see, I did not grade the President high on any marks. I do not believe he deserves them. As a President you cannot ignore over half of the country, do whatever you want, not listen to anyone, ignore tough issues, and blame every one else for your muck ups. (i.e. still blaming Bush 4 years later) We need a President who is willing to act like an adult, do what is right for this country, and bring back American exceptionalism. Stand with me on Tuesday and vote for Mitt Romney.
