Obama, the Middle East, and Israel
Once again Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has said in a speech the Holocaust never happened, ""If the killing of Jews in Europe is true and the Zionists are being supported because of this excuse, why should the Palestinian nation pay the price?" That's exactly what people like to hear from somebody that's trying to get a nuclear weapon, and has said Israel should be wiped off the map. Hitler is rolling over in hell right now. His psychotic handy work is being called false. What does Ahmadinejad think happen to the Jews? They were loaded up on trains and taken to the countryside for a picnic?
Iran sends soldiers to Hamas and missiles by the thousands to rain down on Israel. The world sits back and watches it happen, shaking their fingers collectively in the U.N. at Iran. When will the world stand up and do something about it? When Jerusalem and Tel Aviv look like Nagasaki and Hiroshima? Would Russia and China, the two countries that have held up sanctions in the past at the U.N. finally admit that Iran is not in line with the world?
What is even more freighting is Obama's new, "America is cruel and we're sorry" trip and speeches across the Middle East. Recently in a BBC interview, reported in the Washington Post, "President Barack Obama suggested that Iran may have some right to nuclear energy," and that, "we may have prejudged Iran's aspirations". Those are the most insane things I've ever heard. Iran sits on one of the world's largest oil reserves, and one of the world's largest natural gas reserves. What, all the sudden Iran is worried about global warming? The same country that allows women to be killed if they cheat on their husband; Iran all the sudden has a warm and fuzzy outlook on the environment? They've dropped their Korans and started hugging trees and eating granola? What do they need nuclear power for?
Obama needs to wake up. Stop trying to appease and apologize for America. He's speaking in the Middle East this week. I'm sure he'll say he's sorry for all of our countries past oopsies. Instead he should stand strong and ask the moderate Muslim world to rise up against the fanatical, radical, freedom hating Muslims that have killed more of their own people than anyone else in the world. Obama should stand up with his graceful and prideful speaking ability and say, "America was there in Kosovo to help Muslims. America was there in Somalia to free Muslims from Al Qaida, and to feed their starving masses. America stood up for Muslims in Indonesia. America has toppled and freed them from the guilty, greedy hands of Sadam Hussein in Kuwait and later in Iraq. We attacked the Taliban in Afghanistan and continue the fight for freedom their today, giving women the right to learn how to read and leave their home to see different sides to life, contrary to what the Taliban had imposed. America fights radical Islamist, but embraces the peaceful loving Muslim's around the world. "
But he won't do that. He will get up behind the microphone and apologize for all the bad America has done, and not mention all the good we have given Muslims. He thinks by appealing to the radical Muslims they will stop hating us. Just today, as Obama landed in the Middle East, Osama Bin Ladin sent out another video questioning if America, "is capable to keep fighting us for more years" Mr. President, you're on the right track, keep it up. Osama Bin Laden is about to stop wanting us dead because you're such a great guy, and the fanatical side of the Muslim world will stop hating us because they will all of the sudden realize that it was Bush and the others that they hated. The fact is we are hated for more than one reason by fanatical Islamist around the world. But the one key factor held by all of them, is our support for Israel. Which brings us to Obama's next issue he's trying to smooth out, and he's starting to piss off our actual friends, Israel in the process.
Obama has said lately that Israel should give up the West Bank or other areas and become a two state territory with the Palestinians. Yeah, that would work. Just give them the land and they'll leave Israel alone. All they want is a sliver of desert and ruble and call it day. Hamas by no means would use this tactical, geographical allocation to further their quest to destroy Israel. Look what happened right when Obama took his oath. Pakistan gave the Taliban a safe haven in the Swat Valley, a lawless region near the Afghan boarder. Obama didn't say anything, or imply it was a bad idea. What happened after the Taliban had a safe haven? They regrouped, retooled, and are 60 miles from the capital. Pakistan, a nuclear country is possibly going to fall to terrorist. Their government is corrupt and inept; their army has been trained to fight a conventional war against India, and is virtually useless fighting off the terrorist trained Taliban. I guess Obama will say nothing and do nothing. You know, because we've done enough to hurt Muslims, and should just say sorry again. If the Taliban get their radical minds and hands on a nuclear weapon the world would be devastated. Where would they go first? Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, NYC, L.A, Washington D.C., or maybe launch one of them into a military base in Iraq.
What happens in the coming weeks and months with Obama's administration will be a look into the future. Will it be a future where Obama allows Iran to become nuclear? Or will it be a future where Obama wises up and realizes no matter how much he'd like to believe Iran is going to use nuclear technology peacefully, they really won't. It will be interesting to see if Israel decides they can't wait to find out if Iran will use it to power a country, or destroy theirs. Will Obama stand behind Israel, who we have supported since it became a state? Or will Obama condemn Israel for their actions to preserve their livelihood, and by doing so embolden the fanatics that seek to destroy them? That option of course would make the fanatics like us long enough to smile, and others that hate us to see what America has changed into; cowards. Fact is, if Obama doesn't stand strong with what America has been in the past; a strong country willing to help those who need it most, and fight for other people's freedom. It opens the door for horrible things to happen. Fanatics and enemies alike will see us as a weak and vulnerable country. Talking to people that hate you can make for good campaign speeches, but people that want us dead don't care who stands before them as President of the United States. The ball is in Barak Obama's court. The questions are; who does he want to play nice with, and at what cost?
