... I think the Dems are gonna ram it through out of sheer spite. They'll look for and probably find a way to get whatever numbers they can in whatever way they can to shove it down our throats like the bad medicine it is... "for our own good." Our "government parents" have NO RESPECT for our opinions, values, or ability to make our OWN decisions... about healthcare or anything else. Given their arrogance and condescension to this point, I see no reason to expect them to back down on one d*mn thing! They have a "mandate"... with a whole 7% margin on the vote... and this is the signature campaign promise of the President. Given all the rhetoric, that includes calling the American people unAmerican mobs, I just don't see them backing down or backing off. The ONLY way it won't go through will be if enough Congress people wake up and realize that voting for this Bill WILL be the gravestone on their careers. But I just don't know if they are capable of the degree of humility required to let go of this "tiger."
I am a believer that Healthcare does not need reform. What healthcare needs is to be freed from the government, and put in the hands of the free market. People should choose whether to carry health insurance or not. Those that do not carry health insurance should have to pay when they receive care. How about insurance companies offering a lower income family (or anyone for that matter) a minimal insurance to cover the basics for minimal cost per month? Maybe a tier of programs and coverage, much like auto insurance. Let's let good `ole fashioned competition bring premiums down. Let hospitals have the right to raise money for "financial aid" that can help those that cannot afford it. Isn't that the "capitalistic" approach? For 200 plus years, the rich, when left to earn their fortunes, tend to help those less fortunate without having it ripped from their wallets. Let the free market system work.

I voted for the "compromise" option. Not what I'd prefer, I'd much rather see the majoity win (NO BILL), but dont think that will happen. It can only happen if the Republicans vote as real Republicans and some of the centrist Democrates come to their senses. No bill is the best option, because it's a bad bill, the first big step to bankrupting America, then Mr. Obama can fulfill his dream to become dictator of a third world country. The bad news is, it's our country.
I voted "Full Blown" because...

Why reform healthcare?

I voted "No Bill" but I
