Newsweek [4] gives Hillary what amounts to its version of a Profiles in Courage award this week. And how'd she earn it, you ask? By doing what she told us she wasn't doing back during that 60 Minutes interview in 1992..."standing by
her man". In this case, standing by her skirt-chasin' man. From the article:
"Hillary Clinton had a stark moral choice: whether to stay with her husband when President Clinton's philandering with Monica Lewinsky was exposed. Her decision to stand by him could not have been easy."
Wow. That's what passes of as the type of "courage" we need in our presidential candidates these days? I guess w/that kind of standard, we could say Bubba was the most courageous president ever. He had the courage to refuse to resign and continue to serve his country, despite committing adultery, sexual harassment, perjury, suborning perjury, etc., etc.
How times have changed.
