This past week in June, I have watched as our country has been assaulted with blatant forms of liberalism.
We are down to two liberals vying for the Presidency of the United States, Barack Obama and John McCain, Liberal and Liberal-Light, respectively.
Both Obama and McCain favor closing the base at Guantanamo Bay, granting amnesty to millions of criminals (Illegal Immigrants) and forcing the Hoax of Global Warming (now called "Climate Change") on rather unsuspecting law-abiding Americans.
They also believe, despite accurate financial proof, that the oil companies are gouging the American people in order to make off with billions in profits from oil sales.
McCain's solution to this perceived problem is still unclear while Obama's plan is to reinstate the "Windfall Profit Tax".
The words "Windfall Profit" as defined is "profit that occurs unexpectedly as a consequence of some event not controlled by those who profit from it".
What people do not realize is that both the US Government *and* the oil companies at large both profited from the skyrocketing price of oil. So, how is it that the Government would feel that it would be permissible to tax the oil companies on their profits when 15% of the price per gallon of fuel at any gas station goes to the Government?
The US Govenment does not explore for, drill and extract, refine or ship oil, fuel or any other petroleum products. They tax these activities though and tax them well.
It is said that the oil companies enjoy large tax breaks, this may be true but what is the level of the tax they are paying and what would the price per gallon at the pump be if they were paying more in taxes?
Any company doing business anywhere are only in the business for one thing, *Profit*. Companies are here to make money for themselves and their shareholders, not for charity, that is what the Government is for.
As I wrote in one of my previous posts, If you tax too much, people will buy less. If people don't buy enough product, the company making that particular product will either have to scale back their operations or raise prices, in either case, it is not profitable for the business and it certainly isn't good for the average consumer.
Raising taxes never has done one thing good for anyone but the Government, it hurts businesses and it damages the economy.
The issue of Guantanamo Bay.
Just the other day, 5 of the 9 US Supreme Court Justices decided to ignore our Constitution and Article 4, sec 2 subsec's a,b,c and d of the Geneva Convention
None of these men are covered under the Convention as Prisoners of War, yet the Supreme Court decided that whatever these men did, their actions warranted Constitutional protection, the same Constitutional protection that our men and women in uniform have died trying to protect.
The mastermind of the the 9/11 attacks is one of these men. This man who coordinated the deaths of over 3000 Americans in a little less than 2 hours may now file a grievance with a federal judge for release.
I feel that the lifetime appointment of a judge is something that needs to be reviewed and possibly changed. It is abhorrant that a person of this stature would make such a grievous error in the reading of the very document they are sworn to protect.
The last issue of this is "Climate Change". I have wrote on this more but in the last few days, I have learned something that chilled me straight through to the bone.
As you might know, most of our most liberal ideas come from the Old Country, Europe. I have learned that in the UK, there is a bill making its way through Parliament that addresses Climate Change in a way that makes American Liberals green with envy.

In a nut-shell, the Government controls what and how much you buy and penalizes you for overusing your "alloted" share of "carbon". There is talk of issuing citizens "Carbon Debit Cards", these cards would be pre-loaded with your monthly allotment. If you use all of your credits before the end of the month, you would be forced to buy credits from the Government or from someone who hasn't used their total monthly allotment. There would be a cap on the total credits that the country would be able to use.
This is paramount to what is said in Revelation about the mark of the Beast, that no one may buy or sell without the mark, which is the number or name of the beast, 666, or some derivative thereof.
The Hoax of Climate Change is detrimental to the progress of mankind, the willingness to subjugate the free-will of man for the preservation of mother earth.
I have no problem with conservation, just conservation through excessive taxation.
Like the title of my blog says, we are on a very dangerous and slippery slope, will we be able to see the errors of our ways before it is too late or will we have to have yet another "Shot heard 'round the world"?
