From the campaign trail [3]:
Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton [4] has picked up the endorsement of Dick Gephardt, the former House Democratic leader who twice ran unsuccessfully for president.I guess we pretty much know now which way "big labor" is going on this one, since that's Gephardt's hobby horse. Billary needs all the good news it can get, after getting bested by Barak by over ten million dollars in the last quarter's fundraising derby [5].Gephardt, the one-time Missouri congressman, planned to discuss his endorsement in a conference call with reporters Thursday afternoon.
The endorsement came as Clinton finished up a four-day campaign swing through Iowa, which hosts the first voting contest Jan. 14. Former President Clinton campaigned with his wife for the first three days of the Iowa trip.
