It seems Fred Thompson has received enough backlash about his delays on getting into the ring that he's having a conference call today with his supporters to tell them that he's going to officially announce on Thursday, September 6th - one day AFTER the next scheduled GOP debate. Over the weekend they forced out yet another staffer from the "non"-campaign and, according to the latest reports, seem to be backing off the earlier indication of being "in" in time to participate in the next debate, which would be September 5th. read more »

The polls, they are a'changin'. Slowly but surely, Romney's moving up in the national polls. He's been far out front of the rest of the pack in Iowa and New Hampshire for some time, and now the latest national polls have hime either tied for second, or holding second all by himself. read more »
