Campaigns
The most "honest" political ad ever made (you be the judge)
...it's funn because it's true
Is this the most honest polical ad ever made? Well, it would be if it were real. In this case it's a parody of all the cookie-cutter "biography" spots and "comparative" spots you see from just about every campaign in every election year.
All humor, as they say, has an element of truth...which is what makes this so funny.
Clearly, candidates (and the media guys who produce their ads) need some new ideas when it's this easy to look like just about every one ever made.
In the meatime, bask in the honest goodness...even if it is just a joke.
Learning the fundamentals to grassroots political success
I've spent a good bit of time in the past few years working to create a type of self-help "how to" resource for those who want to learn the basics of how to be effective when it comes to conservative political grassroots activism. And now, at long last, it's done.
The "it" in question is "Grassroots 101: Grassroots Training Series". Grassroots "101", as in the first in a series of resources and ebooks that will focus on "the fundamentals of political success", and "Grassroots Training Series", as in a series of three manuals that take you step by through the basics of political activism for beginners, intermediate and advanced activists.
Grassroots activism works
Conservative grassroots activism can change policy and influence decisions from the local school boards all the way to Washington, DC - but it depends on how diligent you are. If we are going to be successful, we have to commit to doing what Ronald Reagan called "the hard work of freedom". And that work includes community, social and political action. And effective activism begins with knowledge.
The purpose of the Grassroots Training Series is not to be exhaustive, (that's another book!), but to cover the highlights and break down the complexities of the political system and give a basic understanding of some of the more fundamental techniques that can help you achieve success. read more »
Anti-McCain Political Ad Reaches New Low
A new ad is beginning to air from a liberal 527 organization, with the intent of damaging the John McCain campaign.
My mouth fell to the floor when I caught this a short while ago, as I flipped from Fox News to MSNBC a bit during the 7 O'clock programming... I know, my own fault there.
This is obviously one of the most despicable pieces of political advertising to which the American public has ever born witness. read more »
Sarah Palin on Linked-in
A presidential campaign first?
First off, for those of you that don't know, Linked-in is an online networking site for professionals. Sort of like Facebook for business, I suppose. I've had a profile on there for about a year now. My profile is here. read more »
Stop Amnesty campaign
As part of the next step in the evolution of the Conservative Outpost, we're launching the first of what will soon be many Internet based campaigns from within our site. The goal is to eventually have a section of our site where any registered user can go and create his or her own campaign, add petitions, fax messages, e-postcards, discussion groups, share files, etc.. In other words, be more effective. More on that in the future.
For now, the first such effort is our own "Stop Amnesty" campaign. read more »
