Al Sharpton goes to Arizona
Let the circus begin
As if the good people of Arizona didn't have enough problems right now, (you know, with about 1/2 a million illegal aliens, Phoenix being the kidnapping capital of the US, Obama about to sic the Justice Department on them, etc..), like a moth to a flame, here comes race-hustler extraordinaire Al Sharpton...
Via MenNewsDaily:
Arizona, now home to about a half-million illegal aliens, was invaded by Rev. Al Sharpton and his minions who decided to play racial politics with the public safety of American citizens. The man to whom reporters rush for soundbites was there to protest the state’s news law to fight illegal immigration.
Sharpton, who commands the attention of so many members of the mainstream news media, is notorious for whipping up fury and then disappearing when destruction — even death — occurs. Short memories appears to be a prerequisite for being a news reporter or else these denizens of America’s newsrooms are intentionally ignoring Rev. Al’s modus operandi....
Now, Rev. Sharpton has set his sights on Arizona’s new immigration enforcement law, a law supported by 70 percent of the state’s residents including the membership of the Arizona Sheriffs Association.
At one rally, what the media characterized as a “small riot” broke out as police attempted to escort away a supporter of the bill who had come under attack from opponents. A number of protesters began throwing objects at the supporter and his police escorts. ...
Arizona immigration roundup
The fact that the state legislature in Arizona (backed by 70% of that state's population) have taken it upon themselves to pass legislation to deal with the overwhelming problem of illegal aliens in that state has gotten quite a bit of attention lately, to say the least. Here's a roundup of some of today's headlines...
Pressure Mounting to Legalize Immigrants (WashTimes)
When this year started, immigration was an afterthought issue, as Congress was facing high national unemployment, a huge deficit, an unfinished health care bill, and energy and financial regulation bills next in line.
But immigrant rights groups refused to accept that calculus and have cajoled and pushed their way into the discussion. Along the way, they've been helped by politics, with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's re-election bid in Nevada depending on tremendous Hispanic support....
Arizona takes the cuffs off the police (Washington Examiner)
... The only people who approve, it seems, are the American citizens who have to live with the consequences of the federal government's long-standing failure to enforce its own immigration laws and protect the country's border with Mexico. Seventy percent of Arizonans -- and 60 percent of people surveyed nationwide -- favor the law signed by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer last week. The bill's chief sponsor, state Sen. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, summed up local sentiment when he said that it will "take the handcuffs off the police and put them on violent criminals." read more »
The vindication of Joe Wilson
Dems want illegals in Obamacare
It looks like some apologies might be due in Joe Wilson's direction if certain Democrats have their way.
Why is that? Because after months of denying there would be a move to add illegal aliens to any government subsidized health care, the mask came off this week as Democrats moved to specifically include illegal aliens in the pending health care bills.
A large group of House Democrats are working to amend the House healthcare bill to specifically include subsidized coverage for illegal aliens. And the radical group LaRaza is calling on its members to contact Senators and "flood their voicemail" telling them to do the same - and drop any mandatory citizenship verification for coverage.
And they're in a hurry too.
They just rejected a Republican proposal to have at least three days to review a final bill - and they stopped a proposal to actually have the bill written out in legislative language BEFORE it gets voted on.
What they want it clear. They want to ramrod an end product that will be full-blown, government run "Obamacare" - which will include illegal aliens.
During August conservatives brought tremendous pressure on Congress. And support for government run healthcare is at an all time low. read more »

Illegals to get tax rebates
In their bipartisan zeal to quickly cut a deal on an economic stimulus bill, GOP lawmakers overlooked something that will certainly inflame the conservative base _ illegal immigrants could receive a tax rebate check from the government.
Sigh.
Not yours
Got this from someone via email this morning and thought I'd share it. I'd say this pretty well sums up what some of the advocates of illegal immigrants, (and their sponsors in the Mexican government), need to learn.

Bad "Dream Act", back again
You can't keep a bad idea down, at least not in Washington. The whole amnesty thing is like some creature from a bad horror movie that you just can't kill. To make things worse, this time they're trying to tie it on as a amendment to the Defense authorization bill. Amazing. (well, not really). Check this out: read more »
Come to our country illegally, and you'll get a snack pack!
From the lips of Nancy Pelosi-
"Every day from the day they arrive and throughout the contributions they make to our country it is a blessing to us. Indeed, I think just about every person in this
House and in this room certainly at this time is a product of those aspirations and dreams."
Let's get real!- read more »
