Second Amendment
Have they heard from you?
Fellow Conservative,
Barack Obama, Joe Biden and a host of liberal Democrats want to restrict your Second Amendment rights. Period.
And the only thing standing between them and your rights is you.
(Click here and say no to further restrictions on your rights!)
Joe Biden was quoted recently telling anti-gun activists at a recent gun-control rally that the push for gun control would not end with their current legislation, saying, “Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning.”
For once, he's right.
Liberals have introduced proposals that would restrict the right to buy guns based on how dangerous they look.
They have introduced proposals to require the registration of all firearms.
One state has even introduced a measure that would require a certificate from the government to buy ANY firearm.
It's more of the same. Slowly, but surely, they work to further restrict the rights of Americans to own and use firearms.
They put more laws on the books that they later don't enforce, so when the next crisis hits they can claim that we need MORE laws.

Some thoughts for our new conversation on guns
Welcome to our latest national “conversation” about guns, a conversation demanded by those who have lost all recent conversations about guns.
It features an extremely loathsome group of politicians and other opponents of the Second Amendment who want to exploit the deaths of the young children in Newtown, Connecticut in order to advance a political agenda.
In fact, New York Democrat congressman Jerrold Nadler even used the word exploit, suggesting they can pass new gun restrictions “if the President exploits it”.
After such tragedies the cry is always to do something, anything, in order to make the story go away. Then there is a rush to pass a law – any law – and rushed laws are almost always bad. And it’s in such times that enemies of liberty always creep in hoping to use the moment to push their agenda before people calm down and look at things rationally.
But since liberals insist on having this conversation, let’s take a moment to review some things that we know, and that the left will surely overlook.
We know that over forty percent fewer homicides are committed with guns than those without guns. We know that violent crime is at a thirty-seven year low. We also know that this drop in violent crime coincided with a boom in gun ownership and states allowing concealed weapons permits. read more »
Michael Bloomberg wants Americans to give up their Guns
Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City called on police officers across the country to go on strike until stricter gun control regulations are signed into law.
Bloomberg, an independent, appeared on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight Monday in the wake of the shooting in Aurora, CO and said the following in response to a question from Morgan
"I would take it one step further. I don't understand why police officers across this country don't stand up, collectively, and say, 'We're going to go on strike. We're not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what's required to keep us safe."
Bloomberg went on to say that he doesn’t understand the need for civilians to purchase armor-piercing bullets. The shooter in Colorado did not use armor-piercing bullets nor were any police officers injured.
In fact, only law-enforcement officers can purchase armor-piercing bullets, so that’s already a law.
It is also against the law for police officers in New York City to go on strike; a fact Mayor Bloomberg acknowledged Tuesday when he attempted to retract his statement.
The fact is more gun control won’t prevent violence.
If we unarmed every law-abiding citizen then how would we protect ourselves when the police aren’t around? What will save an elderly couple from being robbed if they have no gun to scare off the intruder?
Criminals obviously have no regard for the law or they wouldn’t be criminals. The only effect a complete gun ban will have is more innocent people being killed. read more »
